Ford Interceptor Concept

Autoweek has a great preview of the Ford Interceptor Concept.

Ford's Director of Strategic Design Freeman Thomas has a new vision for Ford that he calls “American Muscle.”

“It’s an original recipe created in America,” Thomas said.

The Interceptor definitely has the look that Ford needs. An agressive looking sedan with the look of a hot rod could be a big seller for Ford. The new Mustang has been an overwhelming success, carrying the classic muscle car torch forward for Ford.

A car such as the Interceptor could serve the same purpose. Give American drivers a sedan they want to drive,they'll buy it. Ford is just as guilty as any other American car maker by not delivering the cars people want.

We'll have to wait and see how people react to the concept once it hits the auto show circuit. Some positive press and good public response may make the car possible. If you get the chance, check the Interceptor out and let Ford know what you think.
