And can you blame them? The BMW 2002 launched the sports sedan segment, with the German brand becoming the nameplate revered by enthusiasts everywhere.
Clarion Builds managed to find a car worthy of restoration on Craigslist and set off on their first “Clarion Builds” project. With various partners in tow, the project began. A full rotisserie restoration was headed by BMW experts Coupé King of Los Angeles. Everything was stripped, repaired, reconditioned or replaced. This included an upgraded BMW M10 engine with boosted compression, a performance intake manifold, BMW spark plugs perfectly suited for the M10 and dual side-draft Weber carburetors made pretty by a special one-off air filter crafted by K&N. Sounds perfect and just the right kind of power for this incredible car.
After the car was completed last year, it was decided it would be sold at auction by Barrett-Jackson with proceeds being donated to cancer research.

The car sold this past weekend at Barrett-Jackson Palm Beach for $125,000. The BMW 2002 is certainly a desirable classic to any BMW enthusiast. What a fantastic car and a beautiful build.
