Tesla updates the Roadster
Version 2.5 now available
With a new model not available until the Model S’ 2012 launch, all Tesla can do is update and refine their star attraction, the Roadster.
Unveiled July 2nd at the Goodwood Festival of Speed, the new Roadster can be distinguished from previous models by a new front fascia and rear diffuser.
On the interior, the update includes improved seats for better comfort, better sound deadening material making the cabin quieter and an optional touch screen navigation system with a back-up camera.
“Goodwood is one of the most beloved motoring events in the world and a highlight of the English summer – so it’s only appropriate that this iconic celebration will be the public launch of the latest Roadster,” said Cristiano Carlutti, Tesla’s Vice President of European Operations.
This update comes on the heels of Tesla’s successful IPO just days earlier.
Tesla is now delivering the new car in all their markets in Europe, Asia and North America.
According to Tesla, there are more than 1,200 Tesla owners in at least 23 countries who have logged over five million miles in their Roadsters.
