As long as we get a little help from Porsche. Basically, if we knew how to cook, this is the kitchen we would do it in!
Porsche Design and Poggenpohl, an innovative kitchen designer, has introduced their first kitchen, a cooperative effort that came to be back in October of 2005.
Both companies hope to take advantage of a recent trend showing more and more men interested in kitchen design and cuisine.
“In recent years, kitchens have turned into event and representation areas frequently
equipped with audio systems”, explains Elmar Duffner, Managing Director of
Poggenpohl. “Our co-operation with Porsche Design enabled us to design a
kitchen whose sleek and functional design language specifically addresses male
customers.”
The modular use of wood, glass and Porsche Design’s signature material, aluminum, gives a decidedly all male look, ready for a man-cave redux!
The kitchen will be available worldwide in Poggenpohl studios next spring, with a U.S. launch in the summer of 2008.
